Print Me!!Print Me!!
Grade:
JHS 3
Part of Chapter:
Unit 4
Type of Activity:
warm-up
time filler
Main Skill(s):
Reading
Speaking
Goal of the Activity:
To read examples of relative pronoun usage at a native speed level.
Length of Activity (minutes):
15
Rules/Explanation:

Very low maintenance activity that can be changed for other grammar activities.

- Have the students play in pairs of two.
- Have the students play Janken to decide winner and loser.
- The winner will read a small sentence. / The loser will read a big sentence(at Native Speed).
- Have the winner judge: OK - the pair is finish. / Again - the loser has to read again(I recommend demonstrating with the JTE that the winner can say "Again" maybe three or four times!)
- After everyone finishes, move on to the next slide and repeat.

Extra Stuff -
- Have the students switch pairs after every slide and play with a new partner.
- Choose one student to stand and try reading in front of the class. Let the students judge (IN CASE of a shy student being chosen, I highly recommend jumping in and saying OK.)
