Yo-ho!
I don't believe I've uploaded this before, so here is my lesson for have ~ed in Here We Go 3.
Some parts might be stolen or inspired. I don't really recall honestly. Pretty sure I made everything my way.
Anyhow, first are some example slides to understand what we're looking at today.
Then a true or false quiz. Kids can make groups or just raise their hands. Raising hands is probably easiest.
You can do ALT vs the kids for points to make interesting.
YOU SHOULD CHANGE THESE TO APPLY TO YOURSELF.
Then a card game which works the same as the colour card game in essence. Everyone gets 3 cards to start with.
Find someone, rock scissors paper, winner says one sentence. (THEY CAN SEE ALL THE CARDS FROM THE POWERPOINT ON THE TV)
If the loser of RPS has that sentence's card, they will reply with an affirmative and hand over one of that card.
If they do not have the card, they respond with a negative and be on their way.
You can have the students ask both ways or just one way. Depends on how you'd like to play.
The goal is to get as many cards as possible.
After all that, if there's time, is the pictionary game. Yayyyyy!
Kids make groups, each group has a white board and one person comes to see the sentence on a piece of paper at the front of the classroom. (I HAVE THE PAPER)
They try to memorize it and draw a picture on their whiteboards. They are not allowed to say anything about it. The goal is for their team members to think about the picture drawn and tell me what the sentence is based on that picture. If they tell me the correct sentence, then I give their team a point and the next person in their team can attempt the next sentence.
Depending on class ability, team ability and individual student abilities, I may use Japanese to explain, assist them or give them some kind of assistance. This can be really fun but some kids have zero artistic ability and might not be so imaginative. So they will certainly need your or the JTE's assistance here.
Well, I hope this helps you!
