How can we go to ...?

This is best done as a two-class lesson.

My JTE and I practiced the conversation on page 110 with them and did the Exercise.

The students make groups of 4.

We gave one hand-out to each group with the poster example, "Hamamatsu City". When they make their own poster, they aren't allowed to use the same places as the example. (Which in hindsight maybe I should have changed the Hamamatsu Castle example because it's popular haha).

We gave each group one blank template sheet as well.

Asking the way Amazing Race (Lesson 2)

Hi team!

My JTE asked me to make a second lesson for `asking the way`using multiple modes of transport (only trains are mentioned in the textbook). I deceided to add busses and planes and use Scott`s amazing race idea!

I wanted to personalise this activity to me so I made a Wellington map (careful, doing this takes time!!) and I also made a Tokyo map (that leads to Hamamatsu) because i wanted them to use a plane too!
